“Jesus said, “There was a certain rich man who was splendidly clothed in purple and fine linen and who lived each day in luxury. At his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus who was covered with sores. As Lazarus lay there longing for scraps from the rich man’s table, the dogs would come and lick his open sores.
“Finally, the poor man died and was carried by the angels to sit beside Abraham at the heavenly banquet. The rich man also died and was buried, and he went to the place of the dead. There, in torment, he saw Abraham in the far distance with Lazarus at his side.
“The rich man shouted, ‘Father Abraham, have some pity! Send Lazarus over here to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue. I am in anguish in these flames.’ “But Abraham said to him, ‘son, remember that during your lifetime you had everything you wanted, and Lazarus had nothing. So now he is here being comforted, and you are in anguish. And besides, there is a great chasm separating us. No one can cross over to you from here, and no one can cross over to us from there.’” [Luke 16:19-26]
Those who died and have missed it, wish there was an opportunity for them to come back and warn their loved ones! It’s very absurd to deny a “Restful Peace” which is only in Jesus Christ while we still can.
Just imagine the heap of “mockery wishes” in the name of “R.I.P” this rich man received but only to end up in the place of the dead which is full of torment. This is a journey of no return. Once you refuse to rest in eternal peace while you are still alive, peace is an abomination where your name is registered. Only through Jesus Christ can one’s name be written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, a book of those who rest in peace – in Abraham’s bosom.
And if you’re not sure on what to do in order to have your name registered in the Lamb’s book of Life or you ever registered, but you’re not certain, the steps are simple: The Bible says in Romans 10:9-11 that, “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame.””
And if you’re that person, please, say this short prayer with me:
Lord Jesus, I believe that You’re the Son of God.
And I also believe that You died and rose again from the dead.
I come to You just as I am.
I accept You as the Lord and Savior of my life.
Forgive me of all my sins and wash me clean in Your precious blood.
Erase my name from the book of death, and write them in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
And when You call Your chosen ones, let me be among them.
Thank You Lord for saving me.
God bless you!
