In one Spirit – the Spirit of God and one mind – the mind of Christ, we join our hands or join one another in spirit and pray to God who listens to the words of the heart. He’s given us an opportunity to bear each other’s burdens, to care for one another, and let love for each other manifest through a prayer of “agreement”. It would be hypocrisy to say “Amen”, which means “So be it or I agree” and yet it isn’t from “an open free-giving heart”.
“Amen” seems to be a small simple word that many of us reluctantly respond to but it’s a very powerful word that cracks-down even the deepest secrets of the devil. Our Amen confirms the words we speak, the words we declare, and invokes their fulfillment. God honors union prayers, and Jesus has emphasized this, “Again I say to you that IF TWO OF YOU AGREE on earth concerning anything that they ask,…”
Would you invite someone into your heart for a prayer, please?
Would you enter into an agreement for anything through prayer with someone, please?
Would you allow someone to carry your burdens or to carry one’s burdens, please?
“…if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
2 Corinthians 1:20
“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through Him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.”
And this is the promise He’s given us, “IF WE AGREE ON EARTH CONCERNING ANYTHING WE ASK, THEN GOD, OUR HEAVENLY FATHER WILL DO IT FOR US.”
God Loves You!
