The name that Saves!”

The only name that saves

Dear friends, look – no – farther in search for salvation. Salvation is available right where you are! The name Jesus! So authoritative and mighty in power – no space or time limit can stand in it’s way. Jesus is the only name that Saves. Let’s see Acts 4:10-12 – NLT, it says, “Let me clearly state to all of you and to all the people of Israel that he was healed by the powerful name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, the man you crucified but whom God raised from the dead. For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says,

‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’

There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

Saving us is Jesus’ job description – “written” about Him [even] before His coming. Isaiah 61:1 describes Jesus’ job.

We see Jesus own the Scripture, Isaiah 61:1, in light of making His mission known here on earth. Luke 4:16-20 – NKJV says, “So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”

Then He closed the book, …”

As much as Jesus wants to make us happy through the things He does in our lives, He does so to glorify the Father. In Christ, we get what we ask! John 14:13-14 – NKJV says,

“Whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”

Through Jesus’ name we are forgiven: Acts 10:43 – NKJV

“To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.”

Whatever the circumstance or crisis you’re in right now – emotional or physical or financial, … you have a name to call upon, the name Jesus. God waits to go into action, to save whoever calls upon the name of His Son, Jesus. If there’s any name that we should call when crisis hits, then that should be Jesus. Salvation is only found in Him. Jesus is our Savoir!

Before you leave your home, before you leave your office, before you leave your place of work or do anything, let the Savior, Lord Jesus know about it. “Lord Jesus, save me!” is just long enough for Him to know you need Him.
