How do you plead – guilty or not guilty?

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”

If we say that we have no sin

The charge against each and every one of us, I mean all that has flesh and blood [man] – is sin, the sin that was committed and the sin we commit.
God detests sin but loves the sinners. That’s why He sent an Advocate, our Lord Jesus to come and plead on our behalf. We couldn’t win the case by own efforts, trying to please God by mere animal blood, and here, Christ comes as an atonement – a befitting and eternal atonement for all the sins of man.
I do not know whether you plead guilty or not guilty, all I know is that we all belong to “the world that God loved so much and sent His One and Only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to come and save.” [John 3:16]

King Solomon gave all of us a question to answer in Proverbs 20:9 NLT, “Who can say, “I have cleansed my heart; I am pure and free from sin”?”
Your answer, I do not know. But one thing I know is that we are all liable to sin. Sin is alive in our mind and body – many times we play the wrong movies in our mind – we pass judgment in our mind, …, we do many – many wrong things – we offend people, we take more than we deserve, we justify a lot of things to get our own way – sin is alive in everything corner of our lives. Sin follows us everywhere we go. Even in the church? Oh, yes! Even in the church sin follows you.

“SIN IS NOT DEAD THOUGH [WE ARE DEAD TO SIN AND ALIVE TO GOD IN CHRIST JESUS.]”

Lord Jesus, help us. We are the sinners you came for as You said in Mark 2:17, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”
We admit that we are sinners and need You the Righteous One, Lord Jesus. Cleanse us from all ‘unrighteousnesses’ so that in Your righteousness we can stand to declare that we are the righteousness of God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Let Your truth dwell in us and light the way in our everyday lives.
In Your name, we pray!

JESUS IS LORD!
