Does God really have a plan for me?
I think the answer is, YES. Let’s try to find out.
Jeremiah 29:10-12 AMP.
“For thus says the Lord, ‘When seventy years [of exile] have been completed for Babylon, I will visit (inspect) you and keep My good promise to you, to bring you back to this place. For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call on Me and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear [your voice] and I will listen to you.”
What’s your “Babylon” today?
All of us, have a “Babylon” somehow, somewhere. It could be a health “Babylon”, it could be a financial “Babylon”, a spiritual “Babylon”, a marital “Babylon”, … mention it; whatever it is that’s taken you captive, it has got an expiry time. And when that time comes, joy, peace of mind, laughter, … will overshadow the old memories of pain, lack, mockery, … Psalm 126:1-2 AMP. says, “When the Lord brought back the captives to Zion (Jerusalem), we were like those who dream [it seemed so unreal]. Then our mouth was filled with laughter and our tongue with joyful shouting; then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”
Whatever we go through as we walk this journey, the journey of faith, nothing can stop or change God’s plan for each and every one of us to prevail. Job lost everything he had, but never lost hope in the one who created him. He chose to commit his situation to God, he said, “I know that You can do all things, and that no thought or purpose of Yours can be restrained.” (Job 42:2 AMP)
Questions are everywhere concerning God’s plan for man. When we see what’s happening in the world today, some of us start to think God meant for man to perish – which is not true. In 2 Peter 3:9 AMP, the Apostle brings it to our attention saying, “The Lord does not delay [as though He were unable to act] and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is [extraordinarily] patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.” He is a God who does not rejoice in destruction of the wicked but rather that he should turn to God for salvation.
“The Holy Bible itself, is a detailed plan of God for man.” Whatever plans God has for man, lookup in the Bible. God never planned anything evil for man, but man looked for evil by denying God’s instructions and eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. [Genesis 2:9, 3:6-7]
And even after that, God never withdrew His plans of good for man. In 2 Timothy 1:9 NLT, Apostle Paul tells that, “For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was His plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.” You see that!
From our first reading, Jeremiah 29 verse 10 God says, “I will visit you and keep My good promise to you”. Well, does God really keep His promises? Let’s see Numbers 23:19 AMP, “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken and will He not make it good and fulfill it?
Whatever God has planned, whatever God has promised, whatever God has said, that, He will do. His plans for us are of “peace and well-being and not of disaster, to give us a future and a hope”.
If God gave us His One and Only Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place for the sins we committed, the sins we commit, and for the sins we will commit, what is it that’s of more value than His Son Jesus, that He will not do it for us? [Romans 8:32]
There’s nothing to compare to Jesus that God cannot give it to us.
ONLY GOD HAS THE BEST PLANS FOR YOU!
