“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Life fact: We can only harvest where a seed has been planted. A healthy seed sowed, yields a healthy harvest. A poor seed sowed, yields a poor harvest.
Sowing a healthy seed is very painful. This happens when personal pressing demands show up and find it difficult to release and finally when we release, God has promised us to reap with songs of joy. “Let those who wept as they planted their crops, gather the harvest with joy! Those who wept as they went out carrying the seed will come back singing for joy, as they bring in the harvest.” [Psalm 126:5-6]
There is nothing wrong in doing the right thing – we plant to multiply and keep the healthy seed with us. In life, the things we do are “seeds – alive”, they grow and bear fruits that we in turn harvest. When we love, when we care for others, when we regard others as our enemies and hate them – this is a seed planted. It’s true there are people who really difficult to love or even do any good for them, but God tells us to love them anyway. He says, “But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.” [Luke 6:27-28]
God has given us a free will to listen to what He says and do the right for our own benefit. And if we do not give up on doing good, God is faithful, He won’t disappoint us. At the proper time, His word shall surely be fulfilled.
Let us not become weary in doing good.
