Let the light shine louder!

From the moment we denounce the acts of the devil, and confess all our sins, and accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, everything around and in us begin to change. In some communities, people start to call us “the born again” because that’s what we confess and they expect us to live like one.

We are the light set on high for everyone around to see. For sure, the world has open eyes and ears to perceive everything from us. Our actions and the words we speak shine into the world we live in. Bright or dim light, the world passes its judgment. The light from us has the power to attract more people to the Kingdom of God or block them.
We shall take an instance where Apostle Peter advises the wives to submit to the authority of their husbands. In this case, the wives who have accepted Christ before their husbands while already in marriage. Their changed lives, the Christ like lives have to be an instruct of light for their husbands to see the path they chose in order to win them.
The apostle Peter said, “In the same way, you wives must accept the authority of your husbands. Then, even if some refuse to obey the Good News, your godly lives will speak to them without any words. They will be won over by observing your pure and reverent lives.” [1 Peter 3:1-2]
This works on either side, the husband’s changed life – the Christ like life paves way for the wife to follow.

No matter how little the light is, let it shine into the world. Let our behaviors, our actions win the people around us – for we are the light of the world.

The glory is the Lord’s!
