He came to save, not to condemn”

For God did not send his Son into the world to be its judge, but to be its savior.  [John 3:17]

Jesus is not out there to point an accusing finger at anyone. He came for the purpose of saving us, not to condemn. He came to help, to put us right with God again so that we can live. In Ezekiel 18, God reveals to us the love He has for humanity – He does not want anyone to die in sin. “Do you think I enjoy seeing evil people die?” asks the Sovereign Lord. “No, I would rather see them repent and live.” [Ezekiel 18:23]

Should we then take His kindness and patience for granted? Surely not, we only have to be grateful for His loving kindness. He shelters us from getting the bad things we deserve for our evil actions and thoughts.

God wants all of us to be saved and live a satisfying life. “who wants everyone to be saved and to come to know the truth.” [1 Timothy 2:4]

Jesus Is Lord!
