Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because AS HE IS, SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD. [1 John 4:17]
Think about it*
“How is Christ right now?”
Is His spirit in despair or disturbed in anyway?
Is He worried about anything?
Does He even have a thought of failure in His mind?
We all know that Jesus Christ is at peace and has no thought of failure in His mind. (This is our portion)
From the moment we believe and accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, a lot of things change within us. Christ becomes part of us and we become everything that He is. His Spirit makes a home in our bodies. His mind becomes our mind. We start to understand the things of God, discerning between right and wrong.
Apostle Paul tells us that, “The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” BUT WE HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST. [1 Corinthians 2:14-16]
Now because we have Christ’s mind, we must think well of ourselves, speak well of ourselves, say what He says, love what He loves, do what He does – because as He is [right now], so are we in this world and “not after leaving this world”.
Jesus Is Lord!
